Free software, serving those who farm
Ekylibre SAS develops and runs Ekylibre, Lexicon, Aiffel and Lyvre, four free software projects; Lexicon is a commons of the OSFarm association. We make our living from the services that put them to work for our clients.
Our mission
To give farmers back the time they spend re-entering data, and to guarantee them control over that data. To do so, we build an open farm information system: free software, linked public data and tools that talk to each other.

Transparency
Our code is public, our data sources are cited, our contracts have been audited against the Data-Agri charter.
Sustainability
We build software that is made to last and frugal with resources, serving a farming that protects soils and the people who make it live.
Sharing
What we build goes back to everyone under a free licence, and enriches commons that others can reuse.

We start from the field and its constraints, not from technology. A useful tool beats a spectacular one.
Digital commons, developed with OSFarm
A digital commons is a shared resource, managed by a community that sets its rules. Ekylibre, Lexicon and Aiffel are commons: their code is free and their future does not depend on a single company. They are developed with OSFarm, an association that brings together open solutions for agriculture; Ekylibre SAS is their main contributor.
Discover OSFarmFirst Data-Agri certified company
In March 2019, at the Paris International Agricultural Show, FNSEA and Jeunes Agriculteurs announced the first companies certified under the Data-Agri label. Ekylibre was the first of them. The label is based on a legal audit of contracts against the French farm data charter: security, ownership and proper use of farmers’ data.

Ekylibre SAS founded
The company is registered on 20 November 2014 to develop, operate and promote the software.
First Data-Agri certified company
At the Paris International Agricultural Show, FNSEA and Jeunes Agriculteurs announce the first certified companies. Ekylibre is the first of them.
Ekyviti launched
Ekyviti, the Ekylibre edition for vineyards and wine, gets under way, built with winegrowers.
OSFarm at Open Source Experience
In Paris, OSFarm presents its ecosystem of open solutions for agriculture, including Ekylibre.
“Zero data entry” at the Paris show
With OSFarm, Ekylibre presents its “Zero data entry” project at the Paris International Agricultural Show.
Lexicon, Aiffel and Lyvre
Lexicon links French public agricultural data; Aiffel brings voice into farm software; Lyvre becomes the accounting building block of the ecosystem.
